Education Scotland is delighted to announce that the STEM Nation Award programme is being rolled-out nationally across all sectors in the 2022/23 academic session.
The STEM Nation Award has been developed by Education Scotland to celebrate, promote and build on effective practice in STEM education within and across sectors.
All early learning and childcare settings, primary schools, secondary schools and CLD providers are encouraged to register for the Award.
As part of the pilot, Port Ellen and Bowmore primary schools on Islay achieved the full award last year. The award validators were very impressed with their STEM work, in particular how they brought together partners on the island and across the world to demonstrate to the young people how important STEM is to their lives.
