We are pleased to introduce Kirsty Campbell who has recently joined the Northern Alliance team as Curriculum Workstream Lead for Secondary. Kirsty has joined us from Dunoon Grammar School where she has been a Depute Head Teacher for the last five years.

She said: “I am passionate about improving outcomes for young people and I am excited to have been given this wonderful opportunity to connect and collaborate with colleagues from across the North of Scotland.

“I will be taking forward the priorities of our Curriculum Workstream, which includes approaches to skills for learning, life and work with a focus on DYW (Developing the Young Workforce), new and innovative approaches to curriculum design and development, with a specific focus on digital, and working alongside practitioners within Secondary Subject Specific Support Groups to collaborate and share practice. I will also be working alongside my colleagues in the Northern Alliance to support collaboration around the themes of moderation, curriculum rationale, transitions and interdisciplinary learning.

“I have had such a lovely warm welcome to the team and I look forward to meeting and working with you all over this coming year.”

You can get in touch with Kirsty by emailing kirsty.campbell@argyll-bute.gov.uk or via @NaSecondary on Twitter. There’s also the opportunity to connect with colleagues across all subject areas on our Secondary BGE Northern Alliance SharePoint page (Glow login required): https://glowscotland.sharepoint.com/sites/AberdeenshireCouncil/northernalliance/Secondary-BGE-Senior-phase
