Getting started with Coaching – Introductory Level
Over 200 educators have now taken part in Northern Alliance Coaching Programmes at different levels, building their confidence and capacity to coach others as well as learning how to facilitate professional learning for colleagues. “Getting started with coaching” is suitable for those who are new to coaching or who would like to refresh their skills. Cohort 6 commences Thu 13th May 2021, over two weeks, with an option to attend a 3rd session for those who would like to join a peer coaching trio.

Exploring Leadership
Have you ever thought about Masters Leadership learning but been put off by the cost or just not knowing what to expect? The Exploring Leadership programme is open to teachers who are new to university based leadership learning and who would like to take a first step with like-minded colleagues from across the Northern Alliance. Twenty places are being funded for a 12 week programme commencing September 2021. Find out more here and apply by the 29th May 2021: Exploring Leadership Link to follow
A wide range of Level 11 programmes, including Middle Leadership, are also funded annually through Scottish Government funding, in partnership with local authorities. Look out for information in the next few weeks.
Curriculum
The purpose of the Northern Alliance Subject Support groups (NASSG) is to work together to bring about improvement within shared priorities by offering space and peer support to:
- think, learn, talk, problem solve and innovate;
- share ideas, interests and experience;
- carry out developments and processes such as moderation together.
