NEW Virtual STEM Learning Programme with Aberdeen Science Centre
ASC In Your Classroom is Aberdeen Science Centre’s new virtual STEM Learning programme, featuring topics explored through story sessions, short pre-recorded videos and virtual escape rooms. The new programme offers opportunities to explore STEM topics with ASC from the comfort of your classroom.
All topics will come with a pre and post engagement pack, explaining how the session works and activity ideas for continuing the topic in your classroom. If we spark some curiosity around the topic, let us know! We will create a bespoke video answering your young people’s questions. Find out more and get in touch HERE.
Destination Space Escape Room
To celebrate the landing of Perseverance Rover on Mars after a seven-month-long journey, Aberdeen Science Centre has put together a space-themed virtual escape room for all space enthusiasts!
The first rocket to launch from a Scottish spaceport is due for lift off in 60 minutes. In all of the excitement, the 4-digit launch code needed to start the final ten second countdown has been misplaced – oh no! Can you search the office for clues to uncover pieces of the launch code and keep this much anticipated launch on schedule? This virtual escape room “Countdown to Launch” is part of the Destination Space, a nationwide project coordinated by the UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres (ASDC) and funded by UK Space Agency.
