The Northern Alliance is our regional improvement collaborative – it spans all eight local authorities and it involves everyone who works in education and children’s services. If someone asks if you know about the Northern Alliance, it’s worth pointing out you are the Northern Alliance.

The team who are seconded from their substantive posts to drive Northern Alliance workstreams genuinely wish to improve the life chances of children and young people. But there are only around a dozen professionals in these roles who are working with Education Scotland’s Northern Team of attainment advisers and curriculum specialists. We can’t make a difference without your support.

We can do the research, make suggestions, provide learning and/or engagement opportunities and stimulate collaboration but you will make the changes on the ground. What is happening where you are? What is changing and improving? We’d love to share your thoughts and ideas via our new blog. Share your story now: http://bit.ly/NAblogsubmissions
